Following the recent London Olympics, I found this amazing video that clearly shows where previous Olympic 100m winners from the last 116 years would have finished if they had raced against Usain Bolt .
Carl Lewis would have been 10 feet behind him and the 1896 winner, 60 feet behind him!
The most notable past performance in my opinion, when equipment, running tracks and training techniques were technologically poorer, was that of Jim Hines (9.95 secs.) He was the first man to go under 10 secs in an Olympics. Amazing considering it was 1968.
FYI – My fastest time would have won an Olympic gold medal in 1904. Hehe (11.19 secs)
A man in Perth who has been seen around town wearing a green lycra suit, long red gloves, stripey socks, black speedo swimming trunks and a builder’s hard hat, has become Australia’s unlikely anti-hero.
‘Wheel Clamp Man‘ as he has become known, charges Perthers (I don’t know what inhabitants of Perth are called) a small donation to illegally cut off wheel clamps, giving 100% of the proceeds to charity.
He therefore saves motorists the $135 wheel clamp release fee!
I love the idea but what’s with the speedos and hard hat ? Could maybe have come up with a slightly slicker Superhero outfit, no?!!

Back in the real world, check out this new invention that replicates the hover bikes in Star Wars. Which shopping Centre will be the first to try these out on Mall cops? Hehe.
