Sometimes things touch our sensations and move us without reason – for me, this line of fun furniture from Vancouver-based Straight Line Designs, was one of those times.
Here are some of my faves. Hope you like them.

Four thumbs up from me.
As a huge fan and part time dabbler in drawing, I was blown away when I saw how this amazing artist, Stephen Wiltshire was able to draw (in detail) the New York Skyline after having seen if for only 20 minutes by helicopter!
Stephen was mute for the first 5 years of his life and drawing was his way of communicating.
Please check out this video of his work. It is truly unbelievable.
After having recently returned from a wonderful vacation with my family, I thought I’d post some outstanding swimming pools from around the world. Truly spectacular. The first one is my fave.

One thing that has changed very little over the years is tent designs – usually the choice is green, grey, brown or blue with a couple of subtle, minor variations.
So I can’t believe that only now, companies like Fieldcandy are coming out with cool, funky designs that break the mold – I wish I had had the choice of these babies before I camped around Australia years ago.
Check out these beauties – still time to get one before the Canadian Summer is over !
Get a Room tent
Bricks and mortar tent
Natural World book tent
So next time you’re camping, either get lost in a book, have a sandwich or ‘get a room !’
After a recent post I did about incredibly talented artist, Paul Cadden, who works with graphite to create ‘photo-like‘ pics, check out the work of Scott Wade who creates his masterpieces on dirty car windows:
I encourage you to go to www.dirtycarart.com to see more of his amazing work.
And then you can decide whether art is art or whether it is filth !
